Our Independence Commitment

MoneyKH is Cambodia’s first independent personal finance comparison platform. We receive no referral fees, affiliate commissions, or payments from any bank, MFI, insurer, or financial institution to appear in — or rank higher in — any MoneyKH comparison or review. Our platform is funded by display advertising only, and advertisers have zero influence over any editorial content, ranking, or data we publish.

This independence is not a marketing claim. It is structurally enforced: MoneyKH has no affiliate partnerships. Our revenue model — display advertising — does not create the financial incentive to favour one bank over another that affiliate models create.

How We Verify Financial Data

Bank Rates and Fees

All bank rates (savings, fixed deposit, loan, and remittance fees) are verified directly from official bank websites. We access the primary source — the rate table, product page, or tariff schedule published by the institution — and record the rate, the date of verification, and the URL. We do not accept rates provided by banks to us directly without independent corroboration from their public website.

When a bank publishes different rates in different places (a common issue in Cambodia), we note the discrepancy and use the publicly accessible rate table as the verified figure. We explicitly do not publish below-the-line (BTL) rates that may be available only to specific customers.

Gold Prices

Daily Cambodia gold prices published by MoneyKH are calculated from the international gold spot price (sourced from JM Bullion and cross-checked against gold market data) converted to USD per gram and then to USD per Chi (1 Chi = 3.75 grams). KHR prices use the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) official daily exchange rate. We note both the spot price source and the NBC rate used in each published price.

Exchange Rates

We use the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) official daily exchange rate as published on nbc.org.kh as our reference for all USD/KHR conversions. We do not use commercial bank rates as the reference standard for published exchange rate figures.

Legal and Regulatory Information

Legal and regulatory information (property ownership laws, tax rules, NBC policies) is sourced from official government publications, NBC announcements, and official legal texts where available. We verify regulatory content against the primary source and note the date of verification. For complex legal questions, we recommend consulting a licensed Cambodian lawyer.

Our Rating Methodology

MoneyKH product ratings (e.g. ABA Bank 9.1/10) are composite scores calculated across multiple independently weighted criteria. For bank reviews, criteria include: mobile app quality and reliability, fee structure, branch and ATM network, savings interest rates, customer service, English-language accessibility, KHQR/Bakong integration, and institutional trust signals. No bank pays to influence its score. Ratings are updated when new product features or verified rate changes materially affect the scoring criteria.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not accept payment from financial institutions to appear in comparisons or achieve higher rankings
• We do not publish below-the-line rates that are not publicly available to all customers
• We do not make investment recommendations — we provide verified comparative data
• We do not provide legal or tax advice — we provide factual information and recommend professional consultation for individual circumstances
